AN INSTAGRAM joker turned rapper who filmed himself stealing food and live-streamed himself having sex, has had his jaw broken after a suspected prank gone wrong.
Boonk Gang, known in the rap game as John Gabbana, says if anyone asks he “walked into a wall” as footage emerged of him being socked in the jaw by a much smaller man.
The footage shows Boonk approaching a group of men, although their conversation can’t be heard, the exchange seems fairly harmless as Boonk and one of the men shrug at each-other
However, a third man – hidden from view and standing about a head shorter than the rest of the group – suddenly punches Boonk in the side of his face, the rapper’s head snaps backwards and he quickly runs away, clutching his jaw in pain.
The girl filming the video shouts in shock: “Damn, fool got rocked” followed by, “damn what the f***k?”
The video surfaced after Boonk uploaded a post to his Instagram page captioned: “Broken jaw on both sides, surgery 7:30am.
“Pray for me, love you guys !!
“Gotta show them even when I’m down I’m still happy and oh if anyone ask.. I ran into a wall.”
In the post, the American rapper is wearing a white blood-splattered vest and is lying in a hospital bed.
The camera zooms in on his open mouth, which is filled with blood and features several missing diamante-studded silver teeth.
Boonk appears to be fake-laughing, as he struggles to say “ha ha ha” with a deadpan face and lifts his middle finger to the camera.
Fans speculated as to whether the punch was as a result of Boonk’s outlandish behaviour and “obnoxious” pranks for which he shot to viral fame.
Commenting on his Facebook page, several users told the broken-jawed rapper that he “had it coming.”
One user wrote: “I’m surprised he hasn’t been shot yet,” while another commented “let us hear your music instead of making videos that’s gonna have you dead sooner or later.”
Last year he “accidentally” shot himself in the leg – twice – before recording a slurred video of his blood-stained trousers and saying: “My fans need to know that Boonk ain’t living the real life, and Boonk going through real problems.”
Conspiracy theories from flans flooded the internet, with some saying it was a publicity stunt and others suggesting it was a suicide attempt as the rapper had previously uploaded videos of himself crying captioned: “I just want this pain taken away from me,” to Snapchat.
The rapper eventually released a statement telling fans that he had done it “accidentally.”
The rapper also conducted a series of “donut-bandit” videos which shot him to viral fame – the much younger and less tattooed wannabe comedian jumps over the counter of a Dunkin’ Donuts and steals an entire tray of glazed donuts.
The trend took off, inspiring a number of copycat snack stealing pranks.
His controversial pranks piqued when his Instagram account was deleted after he live-streamed himself having sex.
After spending time behind bars the professional troll gained traction online as his fan base grew to accommodate “obsessive haters,” his pranks were thought of as obnoxious and an entry into the Urban Dictionary detailed how his name had become synonymous with stealing.
The story behind Boonk’s beating has not yet been revealed.
