TEENS have been caught on camera slashing each other with knives before stabbing a terrified victim in a bloody broad daylight gang war near a busy city centre.
The horrifying footage shows the violent clash between warring thugs in front of shocked onlookers on the streets of Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
The teens are seen chasing each other up and down the street in a bloody battle.
At one point, one young thug plunges a knife into his victim as a bystander cries: “Oh! He has stabbed him!”
The attacker, in a white shirt and trousers, is seen raising the weapon high in the air before savagely bringing it down to inflict the wounds.
The gang members continue to tussle with each other after the stabbing with someone shouting the words “gang war”.
The victims is later seen swathed in blood-stained bandages as 999 workers treat him at the scene.
West Yorkshire officers arrived on the scene to find a seriously injured male who had been stabbed.
He remains in a serious but not life-threatening condition.
Cops arrested three people over the attack – including a 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man.
A 24-year-old has since been brought in for questioning on suspicion of affray and released pending further inquiries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the carnage on Lower York Street at around 6.30pm on Monday.
Detective Inspector Gaynor Hancock, of Wakefield CID, said: “This was a serious incident at a busy time of the day in the centre of Wakefield.”
Meanwhile, unprecedented levels of stabbings have gripped the nation’s capital with more than 30 deaths since the start of 2019.
Last year was London’s bloodiest in almost a decade, as the number of homicides reached 135 deaths.
