ALAN Halsall enjoyed a romantic date night with girlfriend Tisha Merry after defending his second hair transplant.
The 36-year-old Coronation Street star shared a sweet photo from the night to his Instagram page.
In the snap, former Corrie actress Tisha has her arm affectionately on Alan’s shoulder as they both smile for the camera.
The pair were joined by the actor’s brother, Ste, and sister-in-law as they enjoyed a romantic meal at Manchester restaurant Tast Catala.
The group had enjoyed a bottle of red wine between them before heading to Cirque du Soleil, which Alan posted a photo of on his Instagram story.
The star captioned his post: “Great company, great food, great wine, great night – @cirquedusoleil …. pending”.
Tisha, who played Steph Britton in the ITV soap for four years, shared the same photo to her own social media page, simply tagging the other three alongside the hashtag #DateNight and a glass of wine emoji.
Alan and Tisha went public with their romance last month at co-star Sam Aston’s wedding.
There had been speculation surrounding their relationship since the start of the year when the two were spotted spending a lot of time together.
Alan split from Lucy-Jo Hudson in May last year after nine years of marriage.
Earlier this week, Alan hit back at hair transplant critics after he got a second treatment at the Farjo Hair Institute in Manchester.
The TV favourite insisted that the procedure had lifted his confidence after first having the op in 2016.
Alan – who plays Tyrone Dobbs in the show – told The Mirror: “I’ve spoken with so many men who have confidence issues because of their hair, maybe this will let them know they have options.
“People have it done all the time – it’s not something to be ashamed of.”
Last February, Alan shared a before and after picture of his first hair transplant on social media.
While paying a visit to his doctor’s office, Alan witnessed the full extent of his hair regrowth two years after his first procedure.
Clearly chuffed with the results, Alan shared a snap of his new, full hairline juxtaposed with his old one, which was up on a computer screen in the background.
Alan’s co-star Jack P.Shepherd has also had a hair transplant, saying: “It’s such a common thing for guys to have now – like a male version of a boob job.”
