THE Spice Girls reunion might have gone to plan, but unfortunately Geri Horner’s bid to crack Saturday primetime telly has not.
I can reveal that her BBC1 singing show All Together Now, which she co-hosted with Rob Beckett, has sadly been axed after two series.
The Beeb has decided to shelve the series, which features singers competing for a £50,000 prize by performing for a 100-strong judging panel of music experts and performers.
Contestants had to get as many of “The 100” stood up and singing along to their performance as possible to make it through to the next round.
A TV source said: “The show was good fun and seemed to rate well.
“It had solid ratings and the BBC commissioned a second series, so clearly saw some promise in it.
“But after two airings and a celebrity special, which was won by EastEnders’ Laurie Brett, they’ve decided to leave it there. They thought Rob and Geri were a great team and are now seeing what else they can do with them.”
A BBC spokesman confirmed the show had been axed, and said: “We would like to thank Rob and Geri and all members of The 100 for two fabulous series and an unforgettable celebrity special. The award-winning format is now on air in 14 countries and the BBC is delighted to have played a part in bringing this unique singing show to the wider TV world.
“We would like to thank the production team for all their hard work in launching such a successful format.”
The BBC has aired some stinkers on a Saturday night — I don’t think this was one of them.
AMANDA Holden proves a leopard never changes its spots – as she steps out in another low-cut gown.
The radio presenter turned heads in a polka-dot peach dress as she left the Heart studios in London yesterday.
Amanda’s outing comes after she vowed to “always look good” despite her eye-popping outfits on Britain’s Got Talent sparking complaints to Ofcom.
She said: “There’s no way I’d step out in my pyjamas or rock up without a lash.
“I always try to look good . . . which is just as well as I get photographed every day.”
I’m sure she could pull off the pyjama look.

TENSIONS between Love Island rivals Amy Hart and Lucie Donlan have seen the air hostess’s family suffer a raft of death threats.
Amy’s terrified relatives have even been forced to take time off work and seek support from ITV after being bombarded with online abuse.
Show bosses have been forced to step in this week after the pair clashed during a wedding dress task, sparking a vicious reaction from fans.
A telly source said: “Family members are worried about the tension between Amy and Lucie, and are urging producers to reprimand Lucie over her behaviour when she physically targeted Amy.
“ITV has advised them not to post on social media to try to minimise the scandal, but they feel they have no choice.”
A spokesman for ITV said: “The welfare and production teams speak to the families on an ongoing basis as part of our duty of care.”
Meanwhile, new bombshell Arabella Chi caused a stir last night for couple-on-the-rocks Yewande Biala and Danny Williams when she turns his head on their date.
RICHARD MADDEN has confirmed what fans of BBC1’s Bodyguard suspected – there is no way the sequel will be made in 2019. He said: “We’re going to give it a breath and do it justice . . . do something as different as the first series.”
KATYA JONES is as good at flogging theatre tickets as she is staying faithful.
The Strictly dancer and her husband Neil have failed to sell nearly half of the tickets for their tour, Somnium: A Dancer’s Dream.
They had 5,202 seats to fill at the Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London for four shows from June 20 to 22, but have sold just 2,768 tickets.
Katya caused controversy during last year’s Strictly series, after she snogged her celeb dance partner Seann Walsh behind Neil’s back.
A source said: “Katya and Neil had hoped their Somnium tour would have been a hit and helped them shed the negative image Katya’s cheating scandal with Seann created last year.
“However, it’s been quite the opposite and sales show they’re going to be performing to a lot of empty seats over the next few days. It’s really quite embarrassing.”

LOVE Island has become Virgin Media TV customers’ most viewed daily show. Since the fifth series started on ITV2 earlier this month, the reality show has outperformed all other on-demand programmes.
