THE best budget airlines in the world have been revealed in the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards.
Surprisingly, easyJet, Ryanair and Norwegian all make it into the top ten.
Taking the number one spot was AirAsia for the 11th year running.
However, close behind was easyJet, in second place, and Norwegian, in third place, having fallen from second place last year.
Other airlines followed including Southwest Airlines, based in the US, AirAsia X, a single class cabin differing from AirAsia, Australian airline Jetstar Airways, Canadian WestJet and Indian-based IndiGo.
Ryanair just made the top ten, coming in ninth place.

The Skytrax Awards also revealed the best airlines in the world overall, with Qatar Airways taking the top spot.
Qatar previously won the award in 2017, 2015, 2012, and 2011,
However, it knocked Singapore Airlines from the top spot in 2018 to second place.
Other winning airlines include Emirates, Qantas Airways and Lufthansa.
The winners are voted for by passengers on a number of aspects including service, cleanliness, food and amenities.
Over 21 million entries were counted between September 2018 and May 2019.

Earlier this year, Thomas Cook and easyJet were named some of the worst airlines in the world, along with Ryanair.
However, Flybe were found to be one of the best, according to the AirHelp survey.
TripAdvisor voted Jet2 as one of the best airlines in the world, and the only UK airline to make the top ten.
