BETHANY Platt will finally discover that her mum Sarah has been secretly dating their hot neighbour Adam Barlow in tonight’s episode of Coronation Street.
And the teen – played by Lucy Fallon in the ITV soap – isn’t one bit impressed. It’s only been a few weeks since Sarah ended her relationship with Gary Windass and up until recently it even looked like they would get back together.
But with charming Adam Barlow’s untimely return from Italy, Sarah almost immediately found herself swept off her feet.
Meanwhile Bethany has been doing her best to convince her mum’s ex-boyfriend Gary not to give up.
She also ends up telling Sarah some home truths – mainly that she’s making a mistake by getting together with Adam.
With Bethany’s reaction being not what she hoped for, Sarah can’t help but wonder how Gary will react when he finds out she’s already moved on with the dashing legal eagle.
We’re going to go out on a limb and predict it won’t be pretty – with Gary tipped to be the cobbles’ next serial killer after murdering Rick Neelan.
And sadly, as we know only too well, nothing stays secret in the world of soaps for long.
It’s only a matter of time before Gary finds out that Sarah and Adam are together and things could get dangerous.
Mikey North, who plays Gary, has already hinted that Adam will need to watch his back when his character finds out that he’s moved in on Sarah.
When asked if fans should be worried, the 32-year-old actor teased: “Gary makes very rash decisions and is forced down a path of no return.
“Everything that he has done has been for Sarah, so when she turns his back on Gary he has nothing more to lose.
“And that makes him much more dangerous.”
Fans were stunned earlier this month when Gary was unveiled as the new super-villain who was behind the Underworld factory collapse that left Rana Habeeb dead.
Builder Gary sabotaged Carla Connor’s factory because he was desperate to get some work – with he and Sarah forced to sleep on airbeds at the Platts’ family home.
Speaking to Inside Soap, Mikey added: “While Gary was struggling there was Carla sitting on a factory roof that needed fixing.”
A Coronation Street insider said: “Gary’s involvement in the Underworld Factory roof collapse was only just the start of his demise.
“He becomes an all-out bad boy after the breakdown of his relationship with Sarah Platt.
“It’s going to cause shockwaves in Weatherfield and have huge implications for Gary.”
Cast and crew have already filmed the dramatic scenes, including one, which will see Rick’s daughter looking for him.
