It’s going to be proper festival weather – a mixed bag of sun, rain and wind.
Here’s the latest according to local forecasters IW Met Service.
The day will start off with a few showers and give way to occasional brighter spells this afternoon.
Temperatures are between 15 to 17C, with rainfall less than 1mm.
Tonight the mercury drops slightly to 11-13C, with a little localised rain possible.
Fairly sunny weather will kick off Saturday but by the afternoon showery rain and strong winds will arrive, making this the most unsettled day of the long weekend.
Temps will be between 13-15C with a strong and gusty southwesterly wind.
Further showers are possible overnight, with the chance of heavy downpours and hail.
The last day will start off with a few showers, but the cloud will break to give some sunny spells.
Temperatures are set to be around 15-17 with a fresh southwesterly breeze.
The wind will pick up, with gusts of up to 32mph predicted.
All festivalgoers need to do is get themselves to one of the four mainland ferry ports at Southampton, Portsmouth, Lymington or Southsea.
After a short crossing, they arrive on the Island with directions to the Isle of Wight Festival site.
The ferry ports are served by good rail and road links.
Buses are available from the harbour to the site.
