MEGAN Barton-Hanson has slammed this year’s Love Island girls for their “rude” behaviour as they tormented the new contestants with cat-calling and childish conduct.
Maura Higgins and Elma Pazar ruffled feathers last night as they made a confident entrance to the ITV2 show and invited some of the villa’s most eligible bachelors to dinner.
While watching the show, Megan posted a message for newbie Maura as she faced backlash from the female residents for going on dates with some of the boys.
She wrote: “The way the girls on the terrace are acting is plain rude. You go on that show knowing bombshells will come in, gorrn Maura.
“It’s fair game, crack on beaut @maurahiggings – love the more they are acting up the more she gives it”
Last night the Irish stunner invited Danny Williams, Tommy Fury and Michael Griffiths to cook a meal and spend time with her on a one-to-one basis.
Watching from the balcony area it was enough to bring out the catty side of Molly-Mae Hague and Amber Gill. Even Yewande Biala joined in with the over-the-top laughing.
At one point, Maura and Michael were discussing his role as a firefighter over pudding and Anna could be heard shouting, “Michael, how was your dessert?” from the balcony as Amber and Molly-Mae giggle looking on.
Their interference riled ring girl Maura up who says: “Why are they being so immature? I actually think it’s so embarrassing. I’m sorry.”
Things quickly went up a notch as the 28-year-old pushed the girls’ buttons insisting: “I’ll give them something to talk about” before feeding Michael part of a banana, leaving them aghast.
After the dates were over the girls came downstairs and were quickly reprimanded for their actions.
Amber initially ignored Michael, which left him furiously launching him into a foul-mouthed tirade about her “childish” behaviour.
“Really? Wow.” he says with a glass of wine in his hand. “I can’t deal with this s***. F*** that. No f*** off. I can’t be dealing with childish girls like this.
Megan, who went in the villa last year, knows only too well what it’s like to be considered a threat.
The blonde beauty entered on day eight was blasted by some of her fellow contestants for breaking up Wes Nelson and Laura Anderson.
Megan couldn’t resist calling out the girls for their behaviour, while giving her support to ring girl Maura to “crack on” with the boys, especially boxer Tommy.
And it wasn’t just Megan who found the cat-calling and insolent behaviour uncomfortable, viewers tweeted their frustration at home immature they felt some of the girls were going.
One viewer wrote: “The girls in # loveisland are like a bunch of 12 year olds. And Amber’s reaction to maura was awful!! Rude sod! Makes me laugh, literally even barely know the guys and so unbelievably jealous. Pathetic.”
A second added: “Wowww the girls are being so IMMATURE and embarrassing how cringe #loveisland”
While a third blasted: “Girls in this programme are embarassing. Molly-Mae is scandalous. Can we bin these lasses off and get some new ones? #LoveIsland”
