NEW MUMS are bombarded with pressure to tone up their post-baby bodies – but one woman has got her priorities right.
An Amazon customer called Karen has left a hilarious review raving about how her new gym leggings can hold a whole bottle bottle of rose so securely that she can still “run from the police” and also hide her “post baby belly chub like a dream”.
Her five-star feedback was for the ‘Thick High Waist Yoga Pants’ by brand The Gym People, which cost approximately £16.50.
Karen revealed she bought the black version after seeing a friend wearing them and spotting that her phone remained securely in the pockets.
“Little did I know the heaven that would grace my butt when I put these on,” she wrote.
“Thick, COMFY, supportive material. Stretch for days! Hides all that post baby belly chub like a dream!”
But the mum said the best bit were the pockets which “hold everything and securely”.
Karen continued: “As you can see in the picture that’s a full size bottle of rose in my pocket and trust me when I tell you I could run from the police in these things and trust that my precious pink (I’m referring to the rose…) is just as safe and secure as my kids once were in their baby carriers.”
She added: “When I opened them up I thought they looked two sizes too small. But my self-loathing insisted I try them on anyway and I was pleasantly surprised they fit just right.
“For reference I bought an XL and I’m about 5’-4” with long thick legs, wide hips, enough butt to get me in a Sir Mix A Lot video.”
Since her enthusiastic endorsement – which was rated as helpful on the site by over 250 other people – more women have tested the booze they can carry in the genius pockets.
Sharing her own snap carrying a wine bottle, another woman wrote: “They have the perfect amount of compression where I feel secure and comfortable.
“I haven’t been tugging at them or pulling them up so they’re a winner in my book.”
Another, transporting a spirit bottle, added: “Can confirm. I am throwing out all my other work out leggings and buying these.
“Super comfy, high wasted, don’t roll down.”
In the product description, the leggings are listed as having a “comfortable high waist”, “ultra-stretch-fit” and are made of moisture-wicking compression material.
There are also two big pockets on both sides, and a hidden inner pocket in the back waistband.
