HARRY REDKNAPP has threatened to give John Terry the chance to sort Piers Morgan out after he labelled the Chelsea legend a wimp.
Redknapp and Morgan have joined forces to manage the Rest of the World side against England in the Soccer Aid Unicef charity match on Sunday.
But the former Tottenham boss was left stunned when Good Morning Britain host Morgan decided to insult the opposition when they linked up for training yesterday.
Arsenal fan Morgan decided to target former England captain Terry for special abuse, labelling the hardman defender a wimp.
And Redknapp warned his assistant he may give Terry the chance to publicly humiliate Morgan in front of millions during the game at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
He said: “I managed the England team for a couple of years and we won, then last year I managed the Rest of the World and I’ve got them this year.
“But I’ve got Piers with me this year, that’s the difference really, he will make the difference.
“Tactically he knows everything about football so we shouldn’t have a problem.
“He insulted the other team before we even started today, winding them up a bit – John Terry and the rest, telling them they are a bunch of wimps.
“I think I might put Piers on as centre forward and we’ll see if John Terry really is a wimp.
“John would still sort him out wouldn’t he?”
Morgan’s GMB co-host Susanna Reid is in charge of the England side along with Sam Allardyce in the game between former international stars and celebrities.
Redknapp added: “If we win he’ll take all the credit and if we lose he will blame me won’t he? I can’t win.”
