ONE of the world’s largest water slides has opened in Benidorm’s water park Aqualandia, called the Cyclon.
Measuring 200m (656 feet) in length, Cyclon also features a huge vortex tunnel measuring 20m (65 feet) in diameter.
Simulating the feeling of zero gravity, passengers whizz down the slide from heights similar to a 12-storey building (36 metres) on a four-seat raft.
While the ride measures just 2.7m (eight foot) wide, the large funnel opens out into a width of 20m (65 feet) with an incline of 45 degrees.
With passengers hitting speeds of up to 37mph (60kmph), riders also face twists and turns before plummeting through the end.
Guests can now try it for themselves, having opened last month to the public for the first time.
Aqualandia is also home to the highest capsule slide in the world, Verto-Go, measuring 33m height (108 feet).

While it claims to be the largest water slide in the world, Cyclon isn’t the tallest or longest.
According to Guinness World Records, the longest water slide was at Action Park in New Jersey, measuring 601m (1,975 feet) in length.
The tallest water slide in the world is Kilimanjaro at Aldeia das Águas Park Resort in Brazil – built in 2002, it measures 49.9m (163 feet) in height.
A water slide took the prize for the tallest in 2014, called the Verruckt in Schlitterbahn Kansas City water park – however it was later rescinded after a 10-year-old boy was killed on the ride two years later.
Aqualandia, once the largest water park in Europe, first opened in 1984. Tickets currently start from €20 (£17).
Royal Caribbean takes the title for the longest water slide at sea, measuring 243m (800 feet) long.
Called The Blaster, riders will even fly over the edge of the ship thanks to see-through tunnels throughout the ride.
Thrill-seekers looking for the best water park in the world should head to Siam Park in Tenerife, which came out on top last year.
