SICK thieves have stolen tributes left outside of Leyton Orient’s stadium to tragic boss Justin Edinburgh.
The O’s have been forced to move the memorial – that includes club shirts and scarves – into the dugout inside the ground after the original spot was ransacked.
Orient confirmed this morning: “In order to protect non-flower items which have been left in Justin Edinburgh’s honour, we have moved them all to the dugout.
“The stadium continues to be open for people to pay their respects.”
An Orient fan tweeted on Monday night: “People caught stealing the memorials left outside @leytonorientfc in memory of Justin Edinburgh need to be hung by their b******s from the nearest telegraph pole.
“Utter vermin.”
Edinburgh tragically passed away on Saturday aged 49 – five days after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Tearful fans have since paid their respects to the late Tottenham legend outside Brisbane Road.
Written messages of thanks and memories of the much-loved boss were pinned to the wall outside the ground.
One, written by a six-year-old supporter called Jacob, read: “Thanks for making me an Orient fan. R.I.P.”
Ex-Spurs defender Edinburgh, who saved Orient from relegation into National League South and led them back into the Football League this summer, had been in Madrid for the Champions League final a week before his death.
After returning from Spain, Edinburgh was rushed to hospital unwell and did not recover from his illness.
He leaves behind wife Kerri and their two children Charlie and Cydnie.
His son Charlie yesterday wrote an emotional tribute to his dad.
He said: “My Best Friend, My Hero and Best Dad you could ever ask for.
“You made all of my dreams come true and shaped me into the man I am today.
“I will look after the girls. Love you Big Man see you soon. So Proud.”
Orient replied by saying: “ You, Cydnie, Kerri and the rest of your family will always be part of the O’s family.
“He was incredibly proud of you all and he made sure everyone knew it.”
