THE summer holidays are not too far away, giving pupils and teachers a well deserved break.
Parents will no doubt be working out where to spend their summer holidays, so here are all the dates you need to know so plans can be made.
Schools are in their summer term now – it runs from Tuesday, April 23, until Wednesday, July 24.
These dates will vary depending on the school and you are advised to check your school’s website.
The dates will include half term from Monday, May 27, to Friday, May 31, 2019.
Kids will return to school on Monday, June 3, for the last few weeks until the summer break.
Many children will be leaving school for their summer break around Wednesday, July 24.
The summer break runs from Thursday, July 25, with pupils returning on Tuesday, September 3.
It is always best to check the Government or school website in your area to make sure you have the correct date.
Some areas such as Leicestershire break up earlier on Friday, July 12.
Locations in Scotland break up even earlier with the last day of school on Thursday, July 4.
Most schools publish their term dates on their websites.
And councils will usually also provide the details online.
