A 10-YEAR-old girl who cannot speak was left covered in horrific bites marks after a “gruesome” attack on a school bus for special needs kids.
Lillian Waldron suffered bruises on her arm and shoulder after another little girl bit her more than nine times while on their way home from school in Wisconsin, US.
Her mum, Lynn Waldron-Moehle, revealed Lillian is developmentally delayed, cannot speak and has the mannerisms of a two-year-old.
She questioned why the driver – who was sitting just one seat in front – did nothing to stop the attack on the all-special needs bus.
Lynn said: “She can’t tell them to stop. She couldn’t get away. She’s in a five-point harness car seat.
“She just had to sit there and take it. And the bus driver wasn’t stopping.”
Lillian’s dad Chad Waldron, added: “The seat was right behind the bus driver and he couldn’t hear anything going on or see anything? Come on.”
Lillian came home crying and holding her arm after getting off the bus.
But her mum didn’t realise the extent of her injuries until she gave her a bath,
“My daughter came home from school on a Lamers bus today whining and carrying on holding her arm signing ouchie,” Lynn said.
“She is non-verbal and developmentally delayed.
“I noticed when I took her coat off that she had a single bite mark on her forearm.
“Although it looked kinda like she bit herself so I didn’t think anything of it. She was very agitated and not calming down so I thought a nice warm bath would help her.
“I went to get her ready for the bath. I took her sweatshirt off and finally saw why she was so distraught.
“Over 9 bite marks all bruised covering her upper arm and shoulder. She was crying and holding her arm still.”
Lynn took pictures, called the cops and took her daughter to the hospital, according to reports.
The principal of Langlade Elementary School said he had reviewed the bus surveillance footage and had seen her being bitten by another girl on the video from inside the vehicle.
“He said it was gruesome and horrifying to look at, and that the girl was brutally biting my daughter’s arm,” Lynn said.
The family claim the pupil who allegedly bit Lilly is no longer attending her school.
The school district said it is working with the bus company to investigate the attack.
A spokesman said: “The District is conducting an investigation into the situation and will be working with the bus company to ensure appropriate processes and procedures are in place to prevent this from occurring in the future.”
