A BRIDE who died on her honeymoon still cannot be flown home two weeks on.
Paperwork problems mean the body of Usheila Patel, 31, is being kept in Sri Lanka.
Cops have also banned grieving Khilan Chandaria, 33, from flying.
He told The Sun: “I am going to have to send her home and probably miss her funeral.
“Funeral directors need to get the paperwork from the embassy. I feel the British authorities are just not bothered about helping me.”
The pair wed in Brent, North London, on April 14.
They fell ill allegedly after food and drinks during a stay at Galle’s Amari Hotel.
They were rushed to hospital but Usheila was pronounced dead, with Khilan discharged from hospital the next day.
Khilan said medics had said it was likely from dehydrating he believes was caused by food poisoning.
He has not been arrested or charged but cannot leave Sri Lanka until more tests are carried out by the government.
