GIN drinkers looking for a fruity twist to the traditional G&T are in luck, because Asda is selling Beefeater gin tasting of blood orange.
The supermarket’s already stocked up on the 70cl bottles, and they’ll set you back £14 each.
The “zesty” booze comes with an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 37.5 per cent, and is best enjoyed with tonic or ginger ale, according to Asda.
The bottles, which are only available in Asda stores and not online, are up for grabs until May 22.
But they’re only available as long as stocks last, so it’s best to be quick if you don’t want to miss out.
Eagle-eyed shoppers spotted the bottles in store last week, and a post on the Money Saver Online page on Facebook quickly racked up more than a thousand comments.
One user said: “This is the one we were having at the paddock! I’ve bought a bottle it’s yum!”
While another added: “Wonder how this one tastes. The other make in this flavour was so nice xxx.”
None of the other “Big Four” supermarkets are currently selling the tipple, although it’ll set you back £16.50 at Ocado.
Meanwhile, bottles of Tw Kempton’s blood orange gin liqueur cost £14 each at Tesco, but they only contain 50cl and have a lower ABV of 20 per cent.
If you’re looking for something different, Asda, Morrisons and Tesco are currently all selling 70cl bottles of pink strawberry gin by Beefeater for £14.
Lauren Bungay, spirits buyer at Asda, said: “Beefeater is one of the nation’s most-loved gin brands, so we’re excited to be the exclusive in-store stockist for the bright, fresh tipple.
“Whilst the nation loves a G&T at any time of the year, summer is the perfect moment to relax and enjoy a gin in the sun with family and friends – something we hope the nation does, blood orange in hand!”
Asda has 639 stores across the UK. You can find your nearest one as well as its contact details using its store locator tool.
Last week, Kopparberg announced it’s launching a PINK GIN – and it tastes of strawberry and lime.
Tesco has also started selling glittery rhubarb gin, and it’ll only set you back £6.
Meanwhile, Home Bargains is selling a shimmering unicorn boozy liqueur for a fiver.
