LINE Of Duty fans have been left fuming as Sainsbury’s has started selling the series 5 DVD before the final airs tomorrow evening.
An eagle-eyed shopper spotted the DVD, as well as the series one-five boxset, while browsing the aisle and shared his finding on Line of Duty’s official Facebook page.
It seems the store has accidentally put the DVD out ahead of the hotly anticipated final tomorrow night, which viewers have waited six weeks for.
HMV workers have also revealed they have had their hands on the DVD since Friday but have resisted watching it to avoid spoilers
Taking to Twitter to discuss the shock discovery one person wrote: “#LineOfDuty I hear that @sainsburys has released series 5 on DVD already, @BBC need to issue a reg 15.Not on with just over 24 hours to go for the finale.”
Another wrote: “Very disappointed about #lineofduty spoilers – apparently some Sainsbury’s accidentally selling the S5 DVD early. Avoiding the Facebook group and hashtag now.”
And someone else added: “@jed_mercurio Just wondering what you think of @sainsburys, they’ve been selling Series 5 DVD today, instead of Monday! The 47k members of the @Line_of_duty FB fan page are NOT happy.”
While HMV in Aberdeen tweeted: “When you realise that the explosive #LineOfDuty series finale is this Sunday night, but we have the DVD copies in store now for Monday’s release…#itsajoke #we’llwait #temptingthough #whosH #AC12.”
