KEYLOR NAVAS has reportedly hired famous agent Jorge Mendes to secure a transfer away from Real Madrid with the Premier League the favoured destination.
The Costa Rican stopper has been told he will not be No1 choice next season at the Bernabeu with Thibaut Courtois, signed for £35million from Chelsea last summer, getting the nod.
AS report that Navas will now look to force through a move away from Madrid and Mendes, agent to Cristiano Ronaldo, has been instructed to speak with Premier League sides.
It will come as welcome news for Manchester United, who are yet to agree a contract extension for David de Gea.
De Gea, who has made a string of recent howlers, is demanding a bumper new £350,000 Old Trafford deal which has not yet been matched, with PSG ready to pounce on the unsettled Spaniard.
Arsenal, who despite have in form Bernd Leno between the posts, see veteran Petr Cech leave at the end of the season.
In December Navas’ representatives reportedly travelled to England to explore possible options for the Champions League winner.
With the return of French manager Zinedine Zidane it looked as though Courtois would be assigned to the bench and Navas instated as No1.
Navas has been between the posts for five of the last six La Liga games as Courtois was sidelined with a hamstring injury.
However, the 6ft 6ins Belgian giant regained his place in the starting 11 in Real’s last game, a 1-0 loss away at Rayo Vallecano, in what could be a sign of things to come for Navas.
