STRICTLY’S Kevin Clifton won’t join the professionals tour – as Stacey Dooley hints their relationship isn’t ‘perfect’.
The 36-year-old may have won the 2018 series with – now girlfriend – Stacey, but he isn’t joining his fellow professionals on the road when their tour starts in May.
However Kevin’s ex-wife Karen, 37, is going on tour with fellow professionals including AJ Pritchard, Giovanni Pernice and Dianne Buswell.
Katya Jones and husband Neil are also performing on the tour, as well as Oti Mabuse and Nadiya Bychkova which kicks off at The Lowry Theatre in Salford next month before ending in Sunderland on June 2.
It isn’t the first time Kevin hasn’t taken part in the Strictly Professionals Tour, as he embarked on his own tour with Karen during last year’s run.
The news comes after it was claimed Kevin could be demoted following his romance with Stacey, 32.
The family friendly show has taken a stand stand against rampant romances behind the scenes and now said they’re prepared to treat love rat Kevin the same as Katya.
Her public snog with comedian dance partner Seann Walsh created more drama on last year’s show than anything on screen and she’s now been told she won’t have a celeb partner in the next series.
When asked whether Kevin will get the same treatment the BBC told the Mail on Sunday: “We wouldn’t be treating her any differently to how we treated Kevin.
“It’s not like he is guaranteed a celebrity partner this year.”
Meanwhile Stacey – who confirmed her romance with her professional dance partner earlier this month – took to Twitter to hint their romance wasn’t perfect.
She liked a tweet which read: “Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect.
“It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.”
