BUBBLY drinkers are in luck because Aldi has just slashed the cost of bottles of Prosecco to £3.99.
This is cheaper than Iceland’s current £5 offer, which previously was the best supermarket deal on fizz.
Aldi has discounted bottles of Castellore Prosecco Frizzante, and it’s said to taste of peach, pear and lemons and to be best enjoyed with seafood or as an aperitif.
The 75cl bottles usually cost £5.49 at Aldi, meaning you’ll get a tasty £1.50 discount.
You’ll need to be quick though as the bottles have already sold out online, and they’re only available in stores as long as stocks last. You can find your nearest shop using its store locator.
If you miss out on the deal, your next best bet is Iceland, where bottles of La Gioiosa Prosecco will set you back a fiver, down from £10.
This deal is available both online and in stores until April 23.
After this, the supermarket offering the third lowest price on Prosecco is Lidl at £5.49 for a bottle of Allini Prosecco Frizzante.
Bottles of Prosecco at Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Tesco start from £6, £6.25, £5.75 and £5.75, respectively.
Last year, Aldi rolled out massive six litre bottles of Prosecco for £80.
The discounter has also started selling sparkling wine in a can – and they cost £1.70 each.
If you’re after something a little different for Easter, Lidl is selling a sweet wine that tastes like hot cross buns.
