EMMERDALE has been shocking enough with its teacher-student grooming storyline – but things are getting darker.
I previously told how a lot of the cast will go on a night out that will change their lives. Now I can reveal that Victoria Barton, played by Isabel Hodgins, will be raped.

Another character will be stabbed, and teacher Maya Stepney will be exposed over her relationship with pupil Jacob Gallagher.
A TV source said: “They’ve got a gritty storyline around a big night out where loads of the ladies go clubbing.
“Paedo Maya will finally be outed. But the bombshell is Victoria will get raped in a horror twist that will send her down a dark path.
“The night also sees a stabbing. There will be blood and violence to grip the Dales as they go dark to compete with their soap rivals.”
The relationship between Maya (Louisa Clein) and Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) has gripped fans, with the pair close to being found out.
Among others on the night out will be Maya’s partner and Jacob’s step-dad David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) and Ellis Chapman (Asan N’Jie), Victoria’s love interest.
The plot comes after former Corrie producer Kate Oates — also an ex- Emmerdale employee — left the cobbles for EastEnders. She is well-known for her gritty storylines.
My source added: “With Kate at EastEnders, Emmerdale producers are worried that she’s going to take over the soap crown.”
Speaking of the new plot, current co-producer Kate Brooks has previously said: “There’s a lot of drama involved . . . because we’re Emmerdale, we’re telling it in a different way.”
PHIL confides in Ben that he is broke, in Eastenders.
Ben is shocked to see what a mess his father is in so suggests they rebuild the Mitchell empire together, much to the surprise of Lola.
In Coronation Street, it is a bad day for Carla as she refuses to visit Aidan’s grave on his birthday, not wanting to bump into Kate.
Peter doesn’t give up on the idea and collars Johnny to ask for a favour.
Having convinced Carla her family have already visited, Peter then guides her towards the grave.
CHARLIE Sheen is set to tell all when he appears on Loose Women for a rare TV chat this week.
On the agenda will be his health and progress since his HIV diagnosis, first revealed in 2015, plus his rocky past.
Charlie Sheen will be talking about his health since his HIV diagnosis on Loose Women[/caption]
In 2011 Warner Bros fired Charlie from his starring role in sitcom Two And A Half Men, citing his “dangerously self-destructive conduct”.
He gave an interview soon after in which he claimed he had “tiger blood” – later blaming his bizarre rant on steroid use.
At the time, he was living with a number of women he called his “goddesses”, including porn star Bree Olson, who said he had never disclosed his HIV diagnosis to her.
Charlie will also cover his road to recovery following drug and alcohol addiction on the show this Thursday. It’ll be fascinating.
SHE once tweeted “need a massive line of cocaine”, but Geordie Shore’s newbie Tahlia Chung says she’s grown up.
Speaking ahead of the 19th series – on MTV Tuesday night at 10pm – she said: “I’ve got to be a lot more responsible now.”
Toby Jones plays a coach driver in BBC2 drama Don’t Forget The Driver, starting Tuesday night at 10pm – but he failed the driving test three times.
He said: “There’s some sort of conspiracy keeping actors out of the coach-driving business.”
THE cast of upcoming docu-drama Chernobyl got a taste of the fear created by the 1986 nuclear disaster as they filmed the show.
The five-part Sky Atlantic series, which starts on May 7, stars The Crown’s Jared Harris as a nuclear physicist who realised the danger of some of the USSR reactors.

It was filmed at a similar reactor in Lithuania, which left the actors and crew feeling less than reassured. Jared revealed: “They said, ‘Oh no, there’s no nuclear material in there at all’. Then on particular days they’d say, ‘Well you can’t come in here until after three o’clock’.
‘Why is that?’.
“And they’d say, ‘We are moving nuclear material’.”
WHAT? The Widow, ITV, Monday 9pm.
WHY? New drama sees Kate Beckinsale star as Georgia Wells, whose life changes when she sees her husband – who she believed was dead – on a TV news report.
THE BBC has dreamt up Piers Morgan’s ultimate nightmare for a show.
It is launching a big-budget series to convert a village to veganism – a diet the Good Morning Britain host blasted as a “ghastly way of life”.
Saira Khan has signed up for new show VeganVille[/caption]
Simon Gregson will also advocate for the diet[/caption]
Already signed up to VeganVille are Loose Women’s Saira Khan and Corrie’s Simon Gregson, who will advocate the diet.
A telly source said: “VeganVille will see meat- eating residents in Wales lured into a life where animals are strictly loved but not eaten.”
Plimsoll Productions, the maker of shows such as Hostile Planet hosted by Bear Grylls, and Davina McCall’s Life At The Extreme, is behind the latest project. Cue angry rant from Piers.
