SERGIO AGUERO has given title-chasing Man City an injury scare after limping off at Craven Cottage.
The Premier League’s top-scorer had to come off 57 minutes into the champions’ 2-0 win over relegation-threatened Fulham.
Argentine striker Aguero was replaced by Gabriel Jesus before discussing the problem with boss Pep Guardiola on the touchline.
City chief said: “Tomorrow we have the real assessment. He says he felt something but not injured. For precaution he decided not to continue, hopefully it’s nothing serious.”
Aguero struck City’s second in a comfortable victory in West London, following up on Bernardo Silva’s early strike.
Victory lifts Guardiola’s side above Liverpool who take on Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday.
City’s boss praised his side and insisted his squad was not focusing on their potential to grab an unprecedented quadruple.
Guardiola said:”We are going to do everything to win. No matter the next competition, we will win the game.
“Fulham was a tough game for Liverpool and Chelsea so we knew it was going to be tricky.
“We don’t think too much about what people say about the quadruple. What Liverpool and Manchester City have done in the Premier League both deserve credit. That’s why we are here.”
