COCA-COLA has set pulses racing by announcing its very own energy drink.
The new canned beverage, called Coca-Cola Energy, is set to hit supermarket shelves next month.

There’ll also be a zero-sugar version released at the same time.
The new energy drinks will include caffeine, guarana extracts and B vitamins but won’t include widely used taurine.
Coca-Cola Energy will be sold in 250ml cans and the sugary version will contain 26g of sugar — the same as you would get in a normal can of coke.
And there’ll be 80mg of caffeine in each drink, which is also the amount you get in a can of Red Bull.
Jon Woods, General Manager of Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland, said the new products were all about giving customers a spread of options.
He said: “Our strategy is to offer people a wide range of drinks to meet different lifestyles and occasions and Coca-Cola Energy is the latest example of that.
“We’re launching Coca-Cola Energy with and without sugar and we’ll continue to expand and diversify our range of products to offer British consumers a wider choice of drinks.”
Global Chief Marketing Officer Javier Meza, Sparkling Business added: “Coca-Cola Energy includes ingredients from naturally-derived sources and a delicious and refreshing taste of Coca-Cola.
“We kept these two qualities at the heart of how we developed the recipe and are proud to offer it under the Coca-Cola brand, inviting people to try a new and different energy drink that is designed to complement upbeat and busy lives.”
The news comes after the firm was said to be in “serious talks” about creating a Cannabis-infused wellness drink.
