DEAR DEIDRE: BEING intimate with my boyfriend is unbearable. Even when we do have sex, I think of other people.
I’m 28, he is 29. We’ve been together for four years and have a two-year-old. I was a stay-at-home mum before returning to work recently.
I’ve never cheated but I desperately want to have sex with other people.
I went through a stage of being angry with him when I thought about him having sex with girlfriends before me. Sometimes I couldn’t even speak to him.
I don’t find him attractive now but I can’t break up with him. It would break his heart and, of course, he’s my son’s dad.
DEIDRE SAYS: Sorting out your relationship outside the bedroom should help your sex life.
It’s got to be worth a try before breaking up your little boy’s family.
Relate do online and telephone counselling as well as face-to-face (relate.org.uk).
