POLICE are investigating a video which appeared to show former Big Brother contestant Sallie Axl lunging at her ex-boyfriend with a pair of scissors.
In the video Sallie, a glamour model and DJ, is seen thrusting the scissors towards her former partner Gerard Williams.
In a series of Instagram updates Sallie claimed the incident had taken place “over a year ago” when she was in a “dark place”.
She claimed she’d been laughed at by her former boyfriend, which prompted the outburst.
The 32-year-old said: “This video is from over year ago…I hope you all are never in a bad place like that. I was videoed and made fun off.”
The video has since been deleted.
Merseyside Police is investigating the footage which had been spread online.
Last month Axl was ordered to pay back more than £12,000 in benefits she wrongly claimed after she entered the reality show.
She left the apartment in Wallasey, Merseyside, when she moved into the Big Brother House in 2013.
She was the first to be evicted from the TV series – which was eventually won by Sam Evans – and moved in with her mum afterwards.
But she still got housing benefit for the flat.
Birkenhead magistrates ordered Axl – real name Sally Pryzbeck – to pay it back and do 200 hours of unpaid work after she admitted dishonestly failing to notify a change of circumstances.
