UNAI EMERY wants four new signings at Arsenal if they qualify for the Champions League.
The Gunners are currently fourth in the Premier League and into the Europa League quarter-finals.
But that number will significantly increase should the North London club achieve their primary goal.
The Mirror understand Celtic’s Kieran Tierney and Nicolo Barella of Cagliari are among their targets this summer.
Barella was pursued by Chelsea during the January transfer window and the club had an offer accepted for the Italian.
But the £44million-rated attacking midfielder turned down the move due to “personal reasons”.
A new left winger and centre-back also feature on Emery’s wishlist.
Denis Suarez signed on loan for the rest of the season from Barcelona but he has failed to impress and a permanent deal is unlikely.
Arsenal hope to partly-finance their summer splurge by offloading a host of their big earners.
Mesut Ozil and Henrick Mkhitaryan, who earn £350,000 and £180,000-a-week respectively, are among those at risk of being sold.
Mohamed Elneny and Shkodran Mustafi could also be offloaded to ease the wage bill.
Aaron Ramsey’s move for Juventus and Petr Cech’s retirement should also help the situation.
Meanwhile, Calum Chambers, Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck are out of contract in the summer and likely to leave.
