THIS is the shocking moment a 14-year-old boy somersaulted four times in the air after being hit by a speeding driver fleeing cops.
Ibrahim Ahmed was left fighting for life with multiple broken bones, organ damage and internal bleeding after Mohammed Casim Hussain, 20, struck him.
Armed cops had been pursuing Hussain when he mounted the kerb before slamming into the teenager as he crossed the road in Luton, Beds.
Harrowing CCTV footage released by cops shows Ibrahim frantically trying to run but he was struck by the front bumper and thrown like a rag doll.
Ibrahim was left spinning in the air after the Volkswagen Golf ploughed into him at 59mph – nearly three times the speed limit.
Hussain has now been caged for 16 months after admitting causing serious injury by dangerous driving on March 14 last year.
Luton Crown Court heard how the thug fled the horror and ditched his jumper in a nearby school as he left the teenager for dead.
He then called a family member and asked them to report the car as stolen as he attempted to evade cops.
Police had been following him after becoming suspicious as he drove through Luton but he failed to stop.
After Ibrahim was hit, police ended their pursuit and desperately gave the schoolboy CPR before an ambulance arrived.
He was rushed to hospital with extremely serious injuries but is now recovering.
Sergeant James Thorne, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit, said: “Instead of pulling over in a safe and responsible way, Hussain decided to flee and drove in a dangerous manner that placed numerous people at risk of serious harm.
“His actions ultimately led to a 14-year-old boy being struck at high speed and left for dead.
“The pursuing officers did the right thing and stopped – without doubt, their medical intervention saved the life of this young boy.
“While Hussain continued to try and avoid capture, a thorough and professional investigation led to his arrest, conviction and sentencing we have seen today.
“Throughout all of this, I would like to reiterate my praise and admiration for the bravery of the victim.
“His life changed that day, and he continues to have a positive outlook on life and strives for a full recovery.”
