CHELSEA have told Callum Hudson-Odoi he will NOT leave Stamford Bridge this summer, according to reports.
The Blues starlet, 18, has 15 months left on his contract and is refusing to sign a new deal in West London.
But according to the Times, Chelsea are prepared to forego tens of millions they could make by selling Hudson-Odoi.
Bayern Munich are well known to be the club in pole position to land the winger and would be prepared to pay around £40million this summer, a figure that would dwindle as his contract runs down.
The club have Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery leaving the Allianz Arena at the end of the season and the German giants are looking to refresh key areas of their squad.
Hudson-Odoi’s recent breakthrough into the England first team has only hardened his resolve to leave West London.
The youngster believes that he needs first-team football to continue his development and could well follow Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson to Germany.
Maurizio Sarri has been reluctant to blood the teenager, particularly in the Premier League, while he played 90 minutes in the Blues’ 5-0 win at Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League.
Eden Hazard is another player who could be eyeing an exit from the 2016 Premier League winners.
The Belgian is thought to be high on Real Madrid’s shopping list, while boss Zinedine Zidane is targeting an overhaul of the squad after winning three Champions League titles on the bounce.
Hudson-Odoi was one of the England players targeted by racist abuse in Montenegro on Monday night.
Uefa have opened a probe into alleged monkey chants from some sections of supporters aimed at Danny Rose, Raheem Sterling and Hudson-Odoi.
But the youngster was articulate and calm in his response to the chanting, while calling on the authorities to do more over discrimination.
Hudson-Odoi said: “We are equal and play a fair game and enjoy it, but when you hear that it’s not right and it’s unacceptable and hopefully Uefa deal with it because when I was over there me and Rosey heard it.
“They were saying ‘ooh ooh ah’ monkey stuff so you just have to keep your heads and keep a strong mentality and hopefully Rosey is okay. If anything we will have a chat but he is a strong guy as well.
“Hopefully Uefa will do something about it. It’s not right.
“I was enjoying the game and to hear it is never right but you have to have a strong mentality.”
