LILY Allen doesn’t have much reason to Smile.
I can reveal the singer has been dropped by management company IE: Music just weeks after splitting from her grime MC boyfriend Meridian Dan.
Lily was dumped by IE: Music — which also looks after Robbie Williams and Passenger — after her comeback album No Shame disappointed in the charts and failed to reignite her career.
A little awkwardly, she is now managed by her ex-boyfriend DJ Seb Chew, who she broke up with in 2007.
A source said: “IE: Music had thought they would be a match made in heaven with Lily but it has proved the opposite. Her album was a disappointment when it came to sales, peaking at just No8 in the charts.
“She also struggled to sell tickets for the American leg of her No Shame tour last year — and pulled out of two dates, in Chicago and Minneapolis, due to an inflamed throat and vocal cords.
“It’s no secret that Lily isn’t always the easiest of people to work with, either.
“There were some disagreements with her management and they decided it was best for them to go their separate ways. It’s a big blow for Lily because IE: Music could have really helped her build her commercial success back up.”
Lily is now directing all management queries to DJ Seb, who she dated for three years and is still friends with.
It comes after the singer announced she is now single for the first time since her teenage years after splitting from Meridian.
She said of her troubles: “It’s just been bad news after bad news after bad news and I think the fact that I haven’t called him and been like, ‘Hey, wanna come around for a cuddle?’ means that it’s big for me.
“Ordinarily, when things get difficult I need to have somebody around to share those problems.”
NAUGHTY Boy has no shortage of celebrity guests on his new album.
The producer, who has just released the first single, Undo, with Calum Scott, has bagged collaborations with Bebe Rexha, Paloma Faith and Wizkid on the record, due for release later this year.
In an exclusive chat, he said: “It’s quite an eclectic mix of artists. There’s a song with Paloma Faith that I can’t wait for people to hear, it’s got a disco dance vibe.
“I’ve got a track with Bebe Rexha, Then there’s Wizkid, who’s an afrobeats artist, so it’s a nice mish-mash of what’s going on around the world.
“It’ll be out in autumn. September I’m aiming for.
“I love working with real artists who write their own songs. I get to collaborate with some of the best in the world. I’m just grateful.”
He is hoping to get an appearance from boxer Amir Khan too.
Naughty Boy added: “It hasn’t happened because he’s training, but we’ve spoken about it.
“I saw him not long ago and we had a joke about it, but he said he’s ready. Once he’s got this fight out of the way, 100 per cent we will do it.”

JUSTIN Bieber has lashed out at claims his marriage is fake – while admitting he still loves Selena Gomez.
The troubled singer revealed on Monday he was taking a break from music because of “deep-rooted” issues.
Justin Bieber was riled when online trolls said his marriage to Hailey Baldwin was a sham[/caption]
He returned to Instagram yesterday and hit out at a troll who said he only married model Hailey Baldwin to “get back” at his ex-girlfriend.
Selena, pictured modelling the new Puma Cali Exotic trainers, dated him on and off for eight years before their split in 2018. Six months later he was married.
Justin said: “I absolutely loved and love Selena, she will always hold a place in my heart. But I am head over heels in love with my wife and she is absolutely the best thing that has ever happened to me.
“You have no idea about my life and what’s good for me! Hailey is my bride, period.”
CELINE Dion takes centre stage in one of Hollywood’s most famous scenes 22 years after providing its soundtrack.
She was seen parodying the romantic moment from Titanic, on the fountains in front of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas for a skit with James Corden.
Her hit My Heart Will Go On played during the film’s “flying” scene with Kate Winselt and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Can’t see this version being quite as romantic.
JAMEELA Jamil has had therapy for a crippling fear of bees – after twice being run over trying to avoid them.
She broke her back after running into traffic as a teenager and could not walk for a year. Then she was knocked down again in Los Angeles in 2016.
Jameela blames her phobia on the 1991 film My Girl, in which Macaulay Culkin’s character dies from being stung.
Speaking on the Films To Be Buried With podcast – available on Acast – the British actress and presenter, who is in US comedy The Good Place, said: “I’m more afraid of bees than anything else in the world, more than murder.
“If I hear a faint buzzing sound, every hair on my body stands on end because of f***ing My Girl.
“I got hit by the car that hurt my back because I saw a bee and I was more afraid of that than I was of the traffic I ran in to.
“That devastated me, it completely disabled me. I had to be taken out of school. Then ten years later, during season one of The Good Place, it happened again.
“I’ve had CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). Nothing can shake this fear.”
