EMMERDALE fans were left horrified tonight after David told his son Jacob to be good for his paedophile abuser Maya Stepney.
Viewers voiced their outrage on social media, declaring the storyline “needed to be over” and claimed it was “making them sick”.
The reaction comes as David is preparing to go away for a week and making preparations for his business and son to be well looked after.
Chatting to his son about spending time with Maya while he’s away, the oblivious parent said: “Be nice to Maya. She could have come away with me for the weekend but she was more concerned about helping you with your revision”
Fans of the show flocked to Twitter to voice their revolution.
One wrote: “#Emmerdale the Jacob/Maya storyline needs to be done. Feel sick watching it”
While another added: “Getting creepy watching Jacub and Maya.. Time to bring the storyline to a conclusion #Emmerdale”
And one wrote: “‘Be nice to Maya’ No worries there David, that’s well at the top of Jacob’s to-do list. #Emmerdale”
Viewers disgust was only intensified later as the dad-of-one, played by Matthew Wolfenden, thanked his girlfriend Maya for staying at home to keep an eye on Jacob while he studies for his exams.
Monster Maya smirked as she replied: “I know how to handle teenagers”
One fan instantly tweeted: “We all know you can handle teenagers Maya. That is the problem! #Emmerdale”
And another added: “David the thick t**t is handing his son over to Maya on a golden platter. #emmerdale”
Fans of the ITV soap have been horrified by the on-going grooming storyline which has seen sick Maya sleep with the teenage son of her boyfriend.
And last week they were more sickened than ever when twisted Maya forced Jacob into having sex with her.
