RONDA ROUSEY told Conor McGregor the “second round is on me” after his bizarre pina colada retirement pledge.
The UFC champion turned WWE icon fuelled speculation that Notorious is now set to take the world of wrestling by storm.
McGregor announced his retirement from MMA at the age of 30 with a shock Twitter post – which he hinted he could be up for the switch.
It read: “Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
“I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition. I now join my former partners on this venture, already ready in retirement.”
He signed off the message with: “Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas.”
Rousey, who ditched her career in UFC to become a WWE champion, replied: “Second round is on me.”
She is set to make history next month when she features in the first ever women’s main event at Wrestlemania.
Fans on social media jumped to the conclusion that Rousey, 32, has called for McGregor to join her in the squared circle.
WWE star Finn Balor also sent fans wild when he hinted McGregor will make an appearance at WrestleMania.
The 37-year-old simply replied: “See you at [Wrestle] Mania brother.”
Balor has made no secret of his desire to team up with his fellow Irishman in the wrestling ring.
