RONNIE O’SULLIVAN produced a remarkable left-handed shot to win a frame against Kyren Wilson on Saturday.
The Rocket, 48, suffered a 6-4 defeat to reigning world champion Wilson, 32, in the semi-finals of the Xi’an Grand Prix.
The pot did not look on for Ronnie O’Sullivan – who took on the shot left-handed[/caption] If Kyren Wilson had potted the re-spotted black he would have won the match[/caption] But the pressure of the situation did not seem to get to O’Sullivan as he produced an astonishing double[/caption]But while the result was ultimately a disappointing one, O’Sullivan did execute a magical moment.
Trailing 5-1, he clawed two frames back to reduce the deficit.
O’Sullivan and Wilson then played a mammoth 30-minute frame which ended with a re-spotted black.
And it was the seven-time world champion who pulled off the decisive pot in style.
O’Sullivan, who famously can play both right and left-handed, was faced with the black near the cushion in a position where a pot seemed incredibly unlikely.
Yet he brilliantly played the black off the left cushion and sent it into the bottom right pocket for a breathtaking double.
O’Sullivan then walked off with a smile on his face as the crowd went wild – though it is unclear if he meant to pot the ball as he did appear to put his right arm out to apologise to Wilson.
Nevertheless, reacting on social media, one snooker fan said: “What a shot to win a vital frame .”
