PADDY POWER have paid out on Everton to be relegated… after just TWO Premier League games.
The Toffees headed into the season knowing they could be in a battle to stay in the top flight.
Paddy Power are paying out on Everton to be relegated already[/caption]And they suffered a nightmare start by losing their opening two matches.
Everton got stuffed 3-0 at home by Brighton to kick off their campaign.
And they followed that up with a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Tottenham, not helped by Jordan Pickford’s horror blunder.
That nightmare start leaves Everton rock bottom of the table – with their zero points and -7 goal difference without scoring their worst-ever beginning to a Prem campaign.
And it prompted Paddy Power to announce the shock decision to pay out within minutes of the full-time whistle in North London – despite Everton being behind Leicester (2/5), Ipswich (8/11) and Southampton (4/5) in the odds to go down at 13/8.
The bookies tweeted a gif of a grinning Sean Dyche and wrote: “EARLY PAYOUT. After today’s hammering, we thought we’d save everyone the bother of waiting…
“So, we’ve paid out early on EVERTON TO BE RELEGATED!

Clearly there is an awful long way to go in the season with 36 matches to go.
But Paddy Power cheekily reckon there is no way Everton can avoid playing Championship football next season, their first year in their stunning £760million new stadium.
That is despite Dyche opening the 2024-25 season with a whole wave of injuries.
Ashley Young’s suspension after his red card against Brighton meant 19-year-old Roman Dixon started at right-back.
However, the Merseysiders’ chances of survival could take a major hit if the club are slapped with another points deduction.
SunSport revealed they breached PSR rules by an extra £6.5m in 2022-23 – which could prompt a further penalty from the Premier League.
