Manchester United clash with Real Betis in the penultimate clash of their US pre-season tour on Thursday.
The Red Devils kicked off their summer tour across the pond with a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal, and will be looking for a positive result ahead of Sunday’s clash with Liverpool in South Carolina.
Erik ten Hag described his team’s performance against the Gunners as “pleasing” despite goalscorer Rasmus Hojlund and new recruit Leny Yoro withdrawn with injuries.
It remains to be seen whether the pair will feature on Thursday, but the Dutchman is unlikely to take any risks with their Community Shield clash against Manchester City on the horizon.
The likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez are also absent due to their participation in summer competitions.
As for Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis, they kick-started their pre-season campaign with a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Austria Salzburg before a narrow 1-0 defeat to Liverpool last time out.
