GERMANY’s last 16 clash with Denmark was HALTED for around 20 minutes as heavy rain lashed the pitch and lightning struck close to the stadium.
An early Nico Schlotterbeck header was DISALLOWED by English referee Michael Oliver, with Schlotterbeck heading home from a corner before the goal was waved off by the Premier League ref.
The two teams are fighting for a place in the quarter-finals with 36 minutes played when the match was suspended due to the adverse weather – after a delay the players returned to the pitch.
