Tottenham Hotspur have just received a huge boost in their pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani after the forward responded positively to the North London club’s approach.
Over the past week, a number of reports have talked up the possibility of Spurs being Kolo Muani‘s next destination as the striker looks set to leave Paris Saint-Germain in search of regular game time.
Tottenham are said to be pushing for a move for the 26-year-old, who PSG are allegedly willing to loan out with an option to buy this month.
It has now emerged that the striker has given Spurs some positive signals as the club look to steal a march on other suitors in the race for the player.
This latest update comes from GiveMeSport, who say that the French international ‘has given indications’ that he is prepared to complete a loan switch to N17 this month.
The report claims that following initial conversations with Kolo Muani and his entourage, Spurs believe that the forward is very much interested in arriving at Hotspur Way.
Ange Postecoglou is said to be putting pressure on the club’s recruitment department to act swiftly to complete the signing of the French international.
According to the outlet, Tottenham have a ‘significant advantage’ over Juventus in the race for Kolo Muani as the Lilywhites are open to negotiating terms on an option to buy the former Eintracht Frankfurt star while the Serie A club are only willing to sign him on a short-term basis.
The report further explains that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy believes that landing the PSG star would show that Postecoglou and his staff retain his full support and that the club are determined to improve their squad.
However, GiveMeSport make it clear that Spurs are not underestimating the threat posed by Juve, with the Premier League side expecting the Bianconeri to offer ‘serious competition’ for the striker.
The Old Lady remain ‘very keen’ on landing Kolo Muani and Tottenham are said to be fearful that the player could be lured to Turin.
Additionally, it is revealed that both Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also sniffing around the Les Blues star.
