According to various reports, Tottenham Hotspur are now on the verge of completing the signing of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, and we have now learned the fee that the Lilywhites have agreed for the youngster.
While there had been plenty of speculation linking Tottenham with moves for the likes of Wolves’ Sam Johnstone and Burnley’s James Trafford, it appears that the Lilywhites have pulled off a deal under the radar.
According to various reports, Spurs have now reached an agreement with Slavia Prague for the signing of goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.
The 21-year-old, who has been extremely impressive since breaking into the Czech club’s starting eleven at the start of the season, has now reportedly flown to London for his medical.
Various fees are now being reported regarding the agreement between Spurs and Slavia Prague, but it appears that the agreement is worth between £10m-£15m.
Fabrizio Romano has taken to social media to reveal that the agreement is worth ‘over £10m’ while Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas has claimed that it is worth £12.5m.
Meanwhile, journalist Luca Bendoni has asserted that the deal is worth an initial €15m (£12.4m) plus further add-ons. He also claimed that the two clubs are now discussing a sell-on clause before finalising an agreement.
Not a lot of clubs spend £10m-£12m on a backup goalkeeper, especially since some options are available on a free transfer.
That is a sign that Spurs believe that Kinsky has the potential to be the club’s number one in the future and see him as someone who can offer serious competition to Guglielmo Vicario for the next few years.
