Daniel Levy will reportedly make a revelation about Tottenham’s search for an elusive trophy in a soon-to-be-aired TV interview.
It is fair to say that Daniel Levy’s popularity is at an all-time low among the Tottenham fan base at the moment. Many hold him as the main reason that the club have not been able to win any trophy since the League Cup in 2008.
Chants calling for Levy to leave have been sung loudly in Tottenham’s recent matches while there have also been other forms of protests intended to make it clear that there is no love for him.
The Daily Mail have now revealed that a rare interview with Levy, conducted by talkSPORT’s Simon Jordan, is set to be aired soon. The outlet says that in the interview, the 62-year-old admits to the former Crystal Palace owner that he craves a trophy.
While this seems like an obvious statement, it also tends to suggest that Levy does not intend on giving up on that dream any time soon – protests or no protests. However, it does show that he is under pressure.
Tottenham fans will undoubtedly be looking forward to hearing from the Spurs chairman, who has not tended to speak much to the media during his tenure.
Whatever Levy says about his determination to win silverware, a lot of Spurs fans will not be convinced by mere words.
They would want to see proof in the upcoming transfer window, with Ange Postecoglou needing significant investment in different areas across the pitch if he is to get Tottenham challenging near the top end of the table.
