One Serie A star is wanted by many clubs across the Premier League, but his preference would be to join Tottenham Hotspur, who have held a long-term interest in his services.
Nicolo Fagioli has largely been a bit-part player at Juventus since Thiago Motta arrived in the summer and it has been widely reported over the last few days that Tottenham are plotting a January move for the Bianconeri star.
Some sources have asserted that an offer of around €25m (£20.7m) offer from Spurs may be enough to prise the midfielder away from the Allianz Stadium.
It has now emerged that a number of other Premier League sides have also joined Tottenham in the race for the Italy international.
This update comes from TuttoSport (as relayed by IlBianconero, who say that Fulham, Crystal Palace and West Ham have made contact over a deal for the Juve star ahead of the January window.
However, it is explained that Fagioli is not too enthused by the idea of joining those sides and that he wants to move to a bigger club.
It is said that the midfielder would be attracted by a move to Spurs, with Ange Postecoglou‘s men having wanted him for the last 18 months.
The outlet goes on to say that there is also interest from Marseille, but Fagioli sees Tottenham as the ‘more prestigious’ option at the moment.
The same report goes on to say that the Old Lady would be willing to sell their academy graduate if some club can shell out between €25m (£20.7m) and €30m (£24.9m) for his services.
Former Juve defender Sergio Porrini suggested last week that the Turin giants should look to get Fagioli off their wage bill next month if they get the chance to do so.
He told Tutto Juve about the midfielder: “If the right amount were to arrive, I would honestly sell him. In this Juve, there is no star. So, everyone is important and no one is indispensable.”
