Tottenham Hotspur could now face competition from Nottingham Forest for an attacker who is admired by Ange Postecoglou.
Tottenham are expected to reinforce their attack in January, with Postecoglou thought to be intent on signing a wide player who can operate in either flank.
It emerged a few days ago that one of the options on the Lilywhites’ wishlist is Real Valladolid star Raul Moro, who is having an impressive season at the Jose Zorrilla Stadium.
It was claimed that Tottenham had sent scouts to run the rule over a Spaniard and that the player was ‘creeping onto Postecoglou’s radar’.
It has now emerged that the Lilywhites could potentially face competition from Nottingham Forest for the Real Valladolid man.
This information comes from Relevo reporter Matteo Moretto, who revealed that Nuno Espirito Santo’s men made contact over a deal for the 22-year-old this week.
Meanwhile, other sources have alleged that Forest are even ready to push ahead with a €10m (£8.2m) offer for Moro.
Moro is a talented young player and one can see why Postecoglou likes him, given his versatility and engine.
However, his numbers certainly do not leap out of the page and the jury is out on whether he would strengthen Tottenham’s starting eleven.
The Spaniard would be a signing in the mould of Wilson Odobert, which is not what a lot of Spurs fans want as they are desperate to see the club signing proven, top-class players.
