Tottenham Hotspur have announced that they will be partnering with Netflix to support the launch of the upcoming second season of the hit series, Squid Game.
Squid Game is a South Korean thriller series which was released back in 2021 and the show became an instant hit with the fans and earned critical acclaim.
It became the most-watched series in Netflix history, becoming a global sensation in an extremely quick time. The second season of the show will be released on 26 December, with the excitement thus building among the fans.
Spurs have now announced that they have partnered with Netflix and will promote the series ahead of the launch of its second season.
Activities have thus been planned related to the squid game during Tottenham’s upcoming Premier League fixtures against Liverpool (22 December) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (29 December).
This is expected to include experimental activity for the fans, with the club revealing that the infamous Squid Game guards will roam the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in their pink hooded jumpsuits for photo opportunities.
Tottenham confirmed that a giant blimp of the Young-hee doll, featured in the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ game in season one, will also appear outside the stadium.
Additionally, the supporters will see visual elements on the stadium’s LED screens and the Squid Game Season 2 trailer played at half-time during the Liverpool match this Sunday.
Finally, the club revealed that they will also be releasing exclusive Squid Game-themed content across its channels, with Men’s and Women’s players set to participate in some of the challenges made popular by the show.
