There is a rather surprising inclusion in Tottenham’s travelling squad for the Europa League clash against Ferencvaros.
After beginning their Europa League campaign with a 3-0 win against Qarabag at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week, Spurs will now travel to Hungary to take on Ferencvaros.
While the game might look straightforward on paper, Ferencvaros are no pushovers as they are yet to drop a single point in the Hungarian top flight this season.
Ange Postecoglou will thus warn his side against complacency and demand that his players match the home side’s effort.
Football.London have now gone through all the videos and photos that Tottenham have posted across their social media platforms to deduce which of the players will be travelling to Hungary and who will be staying back in London.
Surprisingly, one man who boarded the plane was Sergio Reguilon, who has not even been named in the club’s Europa League squad by Ange Postecoglou.
Here are the list of players spotted among the travelling contingent as per the outlet: Vicario, Forster, Austin, Romero, Reguilon, Davies, van de Ven, Porro, Dorrington, Cassanova, Ajayi, Gray, Bergvall, Bissouma, Bentancur, Kulusevski, Maddison, Solanke, Lankshear, Werner, Moore.
While Postecoglou will be keen to win and secure qualification to the knockout stages of the competition, he will also be aware of the importance of resting key players, given that his side has a trip to the Amex Stadium coming up on Sunday.
One would expect the Spurs boss to make wholesale changes to the side which started against Man Utd.
Postecoglou might name the likes of Maddison, Kulusevski, and Solanke on the bench and bring them on in the second half in case his side are struggling.
