According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on adding another midfielder to their squad in the final days of the transfer window.
Speaking after Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Everton on Saturday, Ange Postecoglou refused to rule out any late signings, insisting that the North London club will be on the look for any late opportunities to improve their squad (Sky Sports).
It has now emerged that the Tottenham boss is keen on adding reinforcements to the middle of the park.
The summer transfer window shuts on Friday 30 August, leaving Spurs with just a few days to get any remaining deals done.
Despite the departure of Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer, Spurs are well stocked in midfield, with Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Sarr battling it out with new signings Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall.
James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski were both also used as attacking midfielders in the match against Everton, thus expanding Postecoglou’s pool of choices even further.
According to Football Insider, Tottenham wish to swoop for one more central midfielder before the window slams shut, with the club thought to be working on the signing.

Perhaps Spurs are going to pull one more surprise out of the hat in the final days of the transfer window, just as they did with the signing of Wilson Odobert.
