The Daily Mail have revealed that Harry Kane and Eric Dier were both given access to various parts of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to say their goodbyes to the staff when they returned to the club earlier this month for the pre-season friendly.
Kane and Dier returned to the stadium for the first time since their moves to Bayern and both players were presented with commemorative gifts by club legend Ledley King in recognition of their contribution to the club ahead of the game.
As expected, both players got a rousing reception from the Tottenham faithful during the presentation and all four corners of the stadium once again gave a standing ovation to Kane when he came on as a substitute in the latter part of the game.
Unfortunately, despite a brace from Dejan Kulusevski, Tottenham lost the friendly 3-2.
According to The Mail, both players were given the freedom of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium so that they could bid personal farewells to former colleagues.
The report explains that the duo did not get a chance to do that when they left due to the hurried circumstances of their departure to Bayern Munich.
The striker and the centre-back were reportedly permitted access to all areas of the stadium as they made their way across the venue to say face-to-face goodbyes to a lot of staff who work at the club.

Kane and Dier will both always be associated with Tottenham, not just because of their contributions on the pitch, but also their professionalism and leadership off it.
Both of them are thorough gentlemen, which is demonstrated by the fact that they took time out to say face-to-face goodbyes to the staff.
