Ange Postecoglou has introduced a number of youngsters into his senior squad of late, but one Spurs starlet will now be missing for a short while after picking up a knock during a youth game in midweek.
For the coming season, Postecoglou has retained both Mikey Moore and Will Lankshear to mix it up with his first-team at Tottenham.
The pair shined for the development squad last season and, over the summer, made the step up to the senior squad for the pre-season tour. As expected, neither looked out of place at all and the Spurs boss decided they would be best placed to stay with the squad rather than head out on loan this year.
Both players were not in Postecoglou’s squad for the first game of the season against Leicester City, as they were needed on Under-21 duty the following day, for the first game of the EFL Trophy against Bristol Rovers.
That game ended 3-3, with the Lilywhites winning a bonus point after a penalty shootout. Lankshear and Moore both got on the scoresheet, too, but the game came at a cost for the former.
The talented young striker went down in the second half with a knock late on and had to be replaced.
Now, Alasdair Gold has provided an update on the situation, and revealed Lankshear will be out of action for a fortnight.
Gold tweeted: “Thankfully Will Lankshear’s hamstring injury isn’t too bad. Understand the young Spurs striker will only miss a couple of weeks.”

This is a real shame, but it doesn’t sound like it’s too bad an injury at least. With the international break coming up anyway, we should have Lankshear back in time for some cup games in September, and he could even get some minutes there.
