Jamie Vardy taunted Spurs fans while coming off in the latter stages of Tottenham’s 1-1 draw against Leicester, pointing to the fact that he has won more Premier League titles than the North London side.
Vardy shook off his injury to start for the Foxes in their Premier League season opener against Spurs and he was a passenger for much of the encounter, barely getting a kick.
However, the experienced striker was there to finish off an easy chance at the far post just before the hour mark, punishing the lapse in concentration from the away side.
The goal ensured that Leicester got a share of the spoils despite being second best for the large parts of the encounter.

As Vardy was coming off in the latter stages of the game, the striker decided to point to the Premier League badge on his shirt and make a 1-0 gesture to the travelling fans.
The 37-year-old was allegedly referring to the number of Premier League titles he has won, taunting the fact that Tottenham have not won one, with the Lilywhites famously being pipped to the title by the Foxes in the 2015-16 season.

Vardy may also have been signalling the number of relegations he has experienced in his career compared to Spurs.
Joking aside, while I like players getting involved in this type of banter and showing emotion, this gesture did appear to come out of nowhere as the travelling Spurs fans were not really going after Vardy.
