According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham Hotspur have now reached out to the representatives of Rennes winger Desire Doue about a potential summer transfer switch.
On Tuesday, Spurs secured the services of one of the best young players in the EFL in the form of Archie Gray and it seems like the club have now turned their attention to another up-and-coming starlet.
It was reported by Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe earlier this week that the Lilywhites hold a serious interest in Doue, who set Ligue 1 alight last season.
If TEAMtalk’s latest update is to be believed, Tottenham have made contact with the agents of the 19-year-old, who can play as a number ten or on either flank.
The report claims that Rennes will not let the player leave on the cheap and are expected to demand around £50m for the teenager.
The publication adds that it is unclear whether Tottenham would be willing to pay that amount for the Frenchman, particularly since Ange Postecoglou’s men are also prioritising the signing of a striker and a central defender.
Whatever the case, it appears Doue is a name to keep an eye on for Spurs fans this month.

While Doue is undoubtedly an exciting prospect, I wonder if Spurs and Ange would be tempted to pursue a winger with a little more experience who can have an instant impact at N17.
The Rennes star might take six months or so to get used to the intensity and pace of the Premier League.
