I guess Taylor Swift really wanted fans to know she’s made her grand return to Arrowhead Stadium after missing the past three Chiefs games. That is, at least, the only logical reason I can come up with to explain the glitter freckles she sported during Monday night’s game. After skipping out on Travis Kelce’s 35th birthday charity event over the weekend, Swift showed up to the Chiefs-Saints matchup dripping in Vivienne Westwood, once again advancing her puzzling plaid agenda. Despite the thousands of dollars’ worth of designer garb, it was her spirited red-and-yellow facial accouterments — $16 Fazit freckles that are currently available on Amazon, per “Page Six” — that elicited the most reactions.

While Swifties are already strategizing a glitter-freckled army for their next Eras Tour showing, I’m not sure what Taylor’s beau thought of the new look. I mean, he did complete a trick play as Swift watched on from her usual VIP suite (where she was briefly spotted with frenemy and maybe Trumper Brittany Mahomes), and the team ended with a comfortable 26-13 win. Judging from a post-game video captured by a fan, Trav looked as excited as ever to see his newly freckled girlfriend, whom he hugged and kissed repeatedly in front of both of their dads. Perhaps glitter is Trav’s new lucky charm, then. Maybe he should bedazzle his eye blacks at the next game.
At the very least, we do know how retired footballer Jason Kelce felt about the ensemble. While co-hosting Monday Night Countdown, the 36-year-old was busy explaining his brother’s tumbling stats when the camera cut to Swift arriving at the game. “Look at that now,” Jason interrupted. “She’s got the part on right there. That looks good.” Thank God someone qualified weighed in.
