Tengrinews.kz – When will the preliminary results of the investigation into the Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash in Aktau be revealed? Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport has provided an answer.
Currently, the investigation into the aviation incident is ongoing with the participation of all authorized international experts.
"The preliminary report, in accordance with Kazakhstan's legislation and the requirements of ICAO Annex 13, will be published 30 days after the aviation incident," the Ministry of Transport's press service stated.
Thus, the preliminary report on the causes of the crash is expected to be released at the end of January 2025.
The commission plans to complete the entire investigation within 12 months. The team of experts is working daily.
To recall, the AZAL passenger aircraft, operating a Baku-Grozny flight, crashed on December 25 near Aktau. Of the 67 people on board, 38 died, and 29 survived. Preliminary reports suggest the crash was caused by external physical and technical interference.
