Tengrinews.kz - The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia has temporarily suspended the issuance of Individual Identification Numbers (IIN) to foreign citizens, according to the diplomatic mission's website.
"Due to the expiration of the pilot project 'Formation of Individual Identification Numbers to Foreign Citizens through Kazakhstan's Foreign Missions,' the issuance of IINs to foreign citizens has been temporarily suspended starting January 1, 2025," the statement reads.
The embassy promised to provide further information regarding the possibility of obtaining an IIN in the future.
An IIN is a unique code in the database, required for accessing any digital government services in Kazakhstan, as well as for opening accounts in Kazakhstani banks.
